Faisal Hussain Dies in Walker’s Point Head-On DUI Collision, WI

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — June 21, 2026 — A 47-year-old Milwaukee man has died following a head-on collision with an alleged drunk driver in the city’s Walker’s Point neighborhood, authorities reported.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Faisal Hussain. According to the Milwaukee Police Department, a Buick LaCrosse crossed into oncoming traffic near 12th Street and Greenfield Avenue and struck a Honda Civic head-on at approximately 1:18 a.m. Hussain, who was driving the Honda Civic, died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The 24-year-old Milwaukee man behind the wheel of the Buick attempted to flee the scene along with his passenger following the collision. Bystanders intervened and stopped the suspect before officers arrived. Responding officials observed signs of impairment, and the suspect admitted to consuming alcohol prior to the crash. A subsequent blood alcohol test recorded a level of .136, above the legal limit of .08.

The suspect was charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, second-degree reckless homicide, hit-and-run resulting in death, knowingly operating a motor vehicle without a valid license causing death, and a second count of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. The suspect’s name was not included in the initial police report.

DUI ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Impaired drivers pose a serious and preventable threat to everyone sharing the road, often with devastating consequences.

“Drunken and drugged drivers are subject to criminal charges following an accident or collision that causes harm or kills another person,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal. She noted that beyond the criminal process, a victim’s family may also have the right to pursue financial recovery through a civil lawsuit against the responsible party.

“An accident reconstruction team is sometimes needed to help piece together what happened. All of these resources are necessary for helping clients receive monetary compensation for damages or a loss following a collision,” said Bond, a veteran auto accident attorney.

Data from the National Safety Council shows that 10 percent of all fatal automobile accidents involve drivers operating under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other medications, making impaired driving the second-leading cause of automobile fatalities in the country.

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Pending the outcome of the investigation, the family of Faisal Hussain may have grounds to pursue a wrongful death claim. Family members of wrongful death victims can seek damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic or catastrophic accident.

“The stress and sorrow can be extremely overwhelming after losing a loved one in an accident,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “We recognize the tremendous weight that families are forced to carry through no fault of their own, and protecting their rights every step of the way is essential. A wrongful death attorney will remain current on the official investigation and work to ensure that the family’s legal rights and best interests are fully safeguarded,” Formica added.
