BUTTE, MT, (April 07, 2026) – A teenage passenger was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash near the Big M in Butte, authorities said.
According to officials, a Subaru carrying five teens went off a 40-foot cliff at approximately 12:40 p.m. after the driver overcorrected while navigating a sharp curve. The vehicle then rolled multiple times.
Evelyn Hardman, one of the passengers, was transported to St. James Hospital in Butte before being transferred to a hospital in Billings for further treatment. She suffered significant injuries to her wrist and back.
