FATAL MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), 6,335 motorcyclists died in crashes in 2023.

That figure marks the highest number ever recorded and represents a 26% increase since 2019. Motorcycle fatalities accounted for 15% of all motor vehicle deaths in 2023 and were approximately three times higher than in 1997.

Candice Bond, an experienced motorcycle accident attorney, emphasized that in incidents like this, it is crucial to have an independent investigation carried out by an experienced attorney to protect the rights of the victim’s family.

“Motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable road users, and a variety of factors can contribute to fatal crashes,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal and a national analyst with Accident Injury News. “Blind spots, driver inexperience, and distracted driving are common contributors. An attorney has the resources to engage expert witnesses, conduct driver background checks, locate witnesses, and review insurance coverage, while guiding the victim’s family through the legal process and protecting their best interests.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family members of Evan Jorgenson may be entitled to a wrongful death claim. Family members of wrongful death victims may seek damages for loss of companionship, pain, suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic or catastrophic accident.

“The grief and emotional burden after losing a loved one in an accident can be overwhelming,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “We understand the challenges families face, and protecting their legal rights is essential. A wrongful death attorney will remain engaged with the official investigation and help ensure that the family’s rights and best interests are fully protected.”
