GOLDSBORO, NC (Apr 02, 2026) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Goldsboro, police reported.
Officers and Wayne County EMS responded to the 800 block of U.S. Highway 70 at about 9:43 a.m., where they found Ernest Lee Martin deceased at the scene. Authorities believe he was struck either late Thursday or early Friday.
The suspect fled the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
