MUSKOGEE COUNTY, Okla. — Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle accident that killed two people and injured others. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the crash on June 2 along U.S. 69, about one mile south of W. Hancock Street.
At around 2:20 p.m., a Jeep traveling northbound crashed into a pickup truck, reports said. The impact pushed the pickup across the median into southbound lanes, where it struck a hatchback and an SUV.
Eric Guvernator, 66, was driving the SUV when the pickup truck hit it. His passenger, 63-year-old Mary Guvernator, was also in the vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced both dead at the scene.
Authorities transported the Jeep driver and the hatchback’s occupants to the hospital in good condition. The pickup truck’s driver and two passengers were not injured.
Authorities have not released further details as the investigation continues.
