ASP: Edward Alexander killed in Mountain Home bike accident

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR, (April 17, 2026) – A 63-year-old man was killed Friday afternoon following a motorcycle crash in Mountain Home, according to the Arkansas State Police.

Authorities said the collision occurred at approximately 12:38 p.m. at the intersection of East 9th Street and McClure Lane. A 2016 Dodge Journey was crossing the intersection when it was struck by a 2011 Honda motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, identified as Edward Alexander of Mountain Home, sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Officials have not released additional details as the investigation continues.

CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

With limited protective features and a smaller road presence, motorcycles leave riders especially vulnerable. Even relatively minor crashes can result in severe injuries or fatalities.

Although motorcycles represent only 3% of all registered vehicles in the United States, motorcyclists accounted for 15.5% of all traffic deaths and 3.4% of injuries in 2023, according to the National Safety Council (NSC).

Candice Bond, an experienced motorcycle accident attorney, emphasized the importance of conducting an independent investigation in cases like this.

“In addition to the work completed by law enforcement, an attorney can revisit key witnesses, evaluate available surveillance footage, and obtain phone and text records of the responsible party,” said Bond, a national analyst for Accident Injury News.

She added that road conditions, visibility of signage, and lighting at the crash site are all factors that should be carefully reviewed.

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Pending the investigation, the family of Edward Alexander may be eligible to pursue a wrongful death claim.

Relatives of wrongful death victims may seek compensation for loss of companionship, emotional suffering, and other damages resulting from a tragic accident such as this.

“The emotional toll after losing a loved one in a crash can be overwhelming,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “We understand the challenges families face, and protecting their legal rights is essential. A wrongful death attorney can monitor the investigation and help ensure their interests are safeguarded.”
