Eduardo Adrian Munoz killed in El Paso DWI crash, police says

EL PASO, TX, (October 16, 2025) — A tragic crash early Thursday morning claimed the life of 32-year-old Eduardo Adrian Munoz, who was struck by an alleged drunk driver in northeast El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Authorities said Munoz was riding his motorcycle along the 10900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at approximately 3 a.m. when a Toyota RAV4, driven by Jose Francisco Acevedo Osorio, allegedly rear-ended his motorcycle. Munoz sadly died at the scene. Another motorcyclist traveling nearby was injured in the crash.

Police arrested Osorio, 24, and charged him with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault in connection with the fatal collision.

DWI CRASH INVESTIGATION

Each year, alcohol-impaired driving continues to be one of Texas’s most devastating roadway dangers. According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), roughly 950 people die and more than 2,300 suffer serious injuries annually in DWI-related crashes statewide. On average, one person is killed every nine hours and six minutes in a DUI-alcohol crash in Texas.

When a driver operates a vehicle under the influence, their judgment, coordination, and reaction time are severely impaired, often leading to catastrophic results.

“In cases such as this, a civil investigation is essential in addition to the criminal process,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal.

“An attorney can re-interview witnesses, review surveillance footage, and obtain phone and texting records to help determine liability. Beyond pursuing justice, these efforts ensure that victims’ families are supported and that negligent drivers are held accountable.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Pending the outcome of the official investigation, the family of Eduardo Adrian Munoz may have grounds to file a wrongful death claim. Eligible family members can seek compensation for emotional distress, loss of companionship, funeral expenses, and other related damages.

“After a tragic and preventable death, families face unimaginable grief and financial strain,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal.

“A skilled wrongful death attorney can protect a family’s rights, negotiate with insurers, and ensure that they are treated with the fairness and respect they deserve.”
