NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Metro Nashville Police are investigating a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on May 31. The accident happened at 10 p.m. on Interstate 440 East.
Police said a motorcycle struck an Acura sedan from behind, causing the vehicle to swerve and hit another motorcyclist. Donald Tucker II, 24, was riding the motorcycle that first impacted the Acura.
Emergency responders arrived and transported Tucker to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was in critical condition.
Three other motorcyclists were also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Acura sustained minor injuries and was treated at St. Thomas Hospital West.
Investigators are reviewing video footage of the crash for evidence.
