Dixon woman seriously injured in Pulaski County rollover crash

PULASKI, MO (June 24, 2026) — A 23-year-old Dixon woman was seriously injured Wednesday night in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Pulaski County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report.

Authorities said the collision occurred at approximately 11:37 p.m. when a westbound 2020 Chevrolet Silverado traveled off Highway P near Highway 17. The pickup struck a concrete embankment before overturning.

The Dixon woman, who was riding as a passenger in the truck, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.

The 37-year-old man driving the Silverado was also seriously injured and taken to the same hospital.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the rollover. No additional information regarding the cause of the crash has been released.

CRASH INVESTIGATION

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says speeding remains the leading cause of traffic crashes, followed by impairment from alcohol, drugs, or medication, failure to remain in the proper lane, failure to yield the right of way, and distracted driving.

According to the National Center for Statistics and Analysis (NCSA), rollover crashes account for approximately 30 percent of passenger vehicle occupant fatalities. The percentage of fatalities linked to rollovers is highest among light trucks, at 47 percent, compared with 22 percent for passenger car occupants.

“It is essential to determine the precise cause of crashes like these,” said Candice Bond, managing partner with Bond Legal. “An attorney has the resources to examine available insurance coverage, retain expert witnesses, conduct background investigations, and locate witnesses. We carefully guide victims and their families throughout the legal process.”

Bond emphasized that independent investigations should begin as early as possible to help preserve evidence that may otherwise be lost.

“Beyond reviewing the police report, an attorney will also evaluate all factors that may have contributed to the collision,” Bond added. “Legal counsel can retain experts, review drivers’ backgrounds, identify witnesses, and examine available insurance coverage. Serving as an advocate, an attorney helps injury victims navigate what can often be a complicated legal process.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending the results of the investigation, the victim may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, noted that the stress and uncertainty following a serious injury can be overwhelming, affecting family, work, finances, and overall quality of life.

“It is important for victims to retain an attorney when pursuing a personal injury claim, allowing legal counsel to negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of the client,” Formica said.

“Insurance companies can be notoriously unconcerned with the mounting costs that an injured party may accrue. An attorney can help. We protect the victims of these tragedies daily, forcing the insurance companies to pay for their mistakes,” he added.
