TURTLECREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio— Authorities are investigating a fatal accident involving a tractor-trailer and a pickup on Ohio 741 on April 11.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred just before 11:15 a.m. on a section of the roadway south of Greentree Road. A tractor-trailer heading north veered off the road, overcorrected, and crossed the centerline, colliding head-on with a southbound pickup truck.
Investigators identified David Wills, a 69-year-old man from Turtlecreek Township, as the driver of the pickup. Emergency responders pronounced Wills dead at the scene.
The tractor-trailer driver, a 57-year-old Turtlecreek Township man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Atrium Medical Center for treatment.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol stated the investigation is ongoing, with assistance from multiple local agencies.
