TRUSSVILLE, AL, (April 15, 2026) — A Jefferson County man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Trussville, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Authorities said a 2014 Honda Accord collided with a 2020 Subaru Forester near milepost 138 on Interstate 59 South at approximately 9:06 a.m. The crash also involved a Kenworth tractor-trailer, and the impact forced the Subaru off the roadway, where it struck a tree.
The driver of the Subaru, 68-year-old David Eugene Dobbs of Trussville, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, Anita, who was a passenger, was transported to UAB Hospital in critical condition.
