SAN FRANCISCO, CA, (April 13, 2026) – Dannielle Spillman, a San Francisco resident, was killed Monday afternoon in a hit-and-run crash in the city’s South of Market neighborhood, according to police.
Authorities said the incident occurred at approximately 3:23 p.m. at the intersection of Mission Street and South Van Ness Boulevard. A 30-year-old man allegedly struck Spillman and fled the scene before officers arrived.
Spillman was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators later identified and located the suspect using surveillance footage and license plate reader technology.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked on charges including homicide and felony hit-and-run causing injury. The investigation remains ongoing.
