ARMOREL, AR, (May 12, 2026) – One person was killed and three others were injured Tuesday morning in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 18 and Highway 312 near Armorel in Mississippi County, according to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety.
Authorities said the collision occurred at approximately 5:10 a.m. when a 2015 Ford Fusion allegedly failed to yield while attempting to turn left at the intersection. The vehicle entered the path of an eastbound 2019 GMC Acadia driven by 25-year-old Dalton J. Mitchell.
Investigators said the GMC struck the Ford Fusion, leaving the vehicle disabled in the roadway. Moments later, a 2026 Honda CR-V collided with the disabled Fusion.
The driver of the Ford Fusion died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Officials have not yet publicly released the victim’s identity.
Mitchell suffered injuries in the collision and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The driver of the Honda CR-V, identified as a 36-year-old adult, along with a juvenile passenger, also sustained injuries and were taken to an area hospital.
Arkansas State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
