FATAL PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Pedestrian fatalities continue to be a major concern in California, which consistently ranks among the states with the highest number of such deaths in the U.S.

In 2022, approximately 1,158 pedestrians lost their lives, accounting for about 26 percent of all motor vehicle-related fatalities in the state.

Pedestrian crashes can occur due to a range of factors, including speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving. Candice Bond, an experienced pedestrian accident attorney, emphasized that in incidents like this, it is crucial to have an independent investigation carried out promptly to help safeguard the rights of the victim’s family.

“Having the proper resources is critical when investigating a pedestrian accident case and establishing negligence,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal and a national analyst with Accident Injury News. “Road conditions, visibility of signage, and lighting conditions are all potential contributing elements that must be carefully reviewed. These steps are essential in helping families pursue justice and obtain the compensation they deserve.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family members of Cutberto Zamora may be eligible to pursue a wrongful death claim. Relatives of wrongful death victims can seek compensation for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic or catastrophic accident.

“We understand what families are forced to endure during such difficult times, and protecting their rights is essential,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “A wrongful death attorney will remain informed about the official investigation and help ensure that the family’s best interests are protected. Loved ones of wrongful death victims have the right to seek damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.”
