LOWELL TOWNSHIP, Minn. — The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle accident on June 15 that injured a 90-year-old Grand Forks, North Dakota, man at the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and Highway 75.
Coozie Britton was driving a 2017 Kia Sorento northbound when it collided with a 2025 Ford F-150 truck traveling eastbound on Highway 2 at 3:14 p.m. The Kia rolled and came to rest on its side in the median following the impact.
Britton sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Riverview Health Crookston for treatment. The 90-year-old driver was wearing his seat belt when the airbags deployed during the crash.
The F-150’s occupants, a 58-year-old Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, man and a 57-year-old Ogema, Wisconsin, man, were not injured. Both men were properly restrained and did not require medical attention following the accident.
Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash near milepost 24. Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Crookston Police Department, Crookston Ambulance, and Crookston Fire Department assisted at the scene.
Alcohol was not a factor in the accident involving either vehicle.
