HENRY, MO, (May 17, 2026) – Two people lost their lives and another was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a three-vehicle head-on collision in Henry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 2:55 p.m. on Missouri Route 7 near 311th Road. Investigators reported that a 2016 Ford Taurus traveling eastbound crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a westbound 2023 Nissan Maxima head-on.
Following the initial collision, the Nissan then crashed into an eastbound 2015 Ford F-150 pickup truck, causing the pickup to overturn.
The 54-year-old Clinton woman driving the Nissan sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to Truman Medical Center for treatment.
Officials said the 77-year-old woman operating the Ford Taurus died at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. An 81-year-old male passenger in the Taurus was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Department and Clinton Police Department assisted troopers at the crash site.
The incident remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
