Clayton Davis killed on Hwy 267 collision with tractor-trailer in AR

WHITE, AR, (April 17, 2026) – A 22-year-old McRae man, Clayton Robert Coe Davis, was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash at a rural White County intersection, according to Arkansas State Police.

Authorities said the crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. when a 2017 Nissan Sentra traveling eastbound on Blue Hole Road crossed State Highway 267. At the same time, a northbound 2007 International tractor-trailer entered the intersection and struck the Nissan.

The impact caused the Nissan to overturn after leaving the roadway. Davis, the driver of the Sentra, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.

CRASH INVESTIGATION

Candice Bond, an experienced tractor-trailer accident attorney, said that in cases like this, it is crucial to promptly initiate an independent investigation to safeguard the rights of a victim.

“Tractor-trailer collisions are often complex, with multiple contributing factors involved,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal.

“A knowledgeable attorney can help protect victims against trucking companies, which frequently dispatch their own investigators to crash scenes and have extensive resources to defend a negligent driver.

“An attorney can advocate on behalf of victims by retaining expert witnesses, reviewing driver histories, identifying witnesses, and examining relevant insurance policies, while guiding them through the legal process.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family of Clayton Davis may pursue compensation for damages such as costs associated with the death, loss of income and companionship, and other hardships.

“The loss of a loved one in an accident is deeply tragic and devastating for any family. The grief, shock, and emotional toll can be overwhelming,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal.

He added, “Beyond the emotional pain, the passing of a family member can also bring serious financial consequences. Loss of income and funeral expenses alone can create significant hardship for surviving loved ones.”
