SEMI-TRUCK CRASH INVESTIGATION

Sideswipe accidents involving tractor-trailers account for a high rate of fatalities in the U.S.

According to the National Safety Council, almost 25 percent of fatal large truck accidents involve side impacts. Meanwhile, at least 70% of fatalities in large-truck crashes are occupants of the smaller passenger vehicles involved.

Candice Bond, an experienced tractor-trailer accident attorney, noted that investigations into semi-truck crashes require a wide range of resources.

“Tractor-trailer crashes are often complex, and many factors can play a role in these types of accidents,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal and a national analyst with Accident Injury News. “A skilled attorney can protect a grieving family from trucking companies, which often send their own investigators to crash sites and possess considerable resources they can utilize to defend a negligent truck driver. A lawyer can advocate for you by hiring expert witnesses, conducting driver background checks, locating witnesses to the crash, and reviewing applicable insurance coverage, all while carefully guiding a grieving family through the legal process.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family members of Charles Scott Glatzer may be entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim. Surviving loved ones of wrongful death victims may seek damages for loss of companionship, pain, suffering, and emotional distress in the wake of a tragic or catastrophic accident.

“We understand just what families are forced to go through, and having their rights protected is vital,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “A wrongful death lawyer will remain updated on the official investigation and work to ensure that the family’s best interests are protected. Relatives of wrongful death victims are entitled to seek damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic or catastrophic accident.”
