HARALSON, GA, (March 21, 2026) — A 17-year-old Buchanan resident, Chaston Perry, was seriously injured Saturday morning in a multi-vehicle rear-end crash on U.S. 27 in Haralson County, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Authorities said a Chevrolet Tahoe stopped in the southbound lane for an animal at about 11:30 a.m., prompting Perry, who was driving a Honda Civic, to stop behind it. A Chevrolet Silverado traveling south failed to stop and struck the Civic, pushing it into the Tahoe.
A fourth vehicle, a Ford Fusion, was also involved in the chain-reaction collision. An 18-year-old passenger in the Civic was killed in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
