Chain-reaction collision in Ross County hurt Rebecca DiBenedetto

GREEN TWP., OH, (April 03, 2026) — Two people were seriously injured Thursday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash at a Ross County intersection, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers reported that a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado struck the rear of a 2023 Kia Seltos that was turning right onto Jadwin Road from Kingston Adelphi Road just before 4:30 p.m. The impact pushed the Kia into a 1988 Chevrolet pickup attempting a left turn.

Rebecca Lee DiBenedetto, 48, of Kingston, who was driving the Kia, was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe with serious injuries.

Authorities said the driver of the Chevrolet also sustained serious injuries and was taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, while the pickup driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

CRASH INVESTIGATION

Each year, millions of people are hurt in traffic collisions across the United States, many suffering severe and lasting consequences. In 2023 alone, approximately 2.44 million individuals were injured in motor vehicle accidents, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

As investigators work to determine fault in this crash, Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal, stressed the importance of an independent investigation by an experienced attorney.

“Beyond the work carried out by authorities, an attorney can re-examine witness accounts, review surveillance footage, and secure phone and text records of the responsible party,” said Bond, a national analyst for Accident Injury News.

“Acting promptly is critical in cases like this, as families must ensure that all evidence is carefully reviewed and preserved,” Bond added.

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Depending on the outcome of the investigation, Rebecca DiBenedetto may have grounds to pursue a personal injury claim. Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, noted that serious injuries can significantly impact every aspect of a person’s life, including their family, employment, and financial stability.

“It is essential for victims to retain an attorney when pursuing a personal injury case, as legal representation allows for proper negotiation with insurance companies,” Formica said.

He added, “Insurance providers often attempt to pressure victims into accepting quick settlements that do not reflect the true value of their claims. An attorney can advocate strongly to ensure fair compensation and proper treatment.”
