Grand Chute, WI (June 29, 2026) — An 18-year-old Florida teen was killed Monday when a van crashed through a building in Grand Chute.
A GoFundMe for the victim’s family identified the teen as Manatee County resident Cayden Christiano. Police said emergency crews responded at approximately 3:52 p.m. to Matthews Tire store in the 2900 block of West College Avenue after reports of a vehicle crashing into the building and injuring multiple people.
Christiano was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Two others were transported to local hospitals with unspecified injuries.
According to the fundraiser, Christiano was visiting his grandparents in Wisconsin at the time of the crash. His father, Tommy Dileo, is now working to bring his son’s body home and wants people to remember Cayden as someone who brought joy to those around him.
Christiano was preparing to enter his senior year this fall at Parrish Community High School in the Manatee County School District. The district issued a statement saying officials are “deeply saddened to learn of the death of a student in our community.”
A GoFundMe has been set up to support the family.
