BROOKLYN PARK, MN (May 19, 2026) — The Minnesota State Patrol and Brooklyn Park Police Department are searching for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning on southbound Highway 252 in Brooklyn Park.
According to MSP, the incident occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. near the area between Brookdale Avenue and 73rd Avenue. Authorities said a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the right lane veered toward the shoulder where two people had stopped and were attempting to persuade a woman to get into their vehicle.
Investigators said the oncoming vehicle struck the woman before fleeing the scene without stopping.
The victim was identified as 25-year-old Amiah Armstrong Walker. Emergency responders pronounced Walker dead at the scene.
Troopers believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash, although additional details have not been released.
Authorities described the suspect vehicle as a dark gray Toyota RAV4 and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators anonymously as the West Metro District investigation continues.
