STEPHENSON, WI (April 4, 2026) — A tragic UTV accident Saturday afternoon in Crivitz claimed the life of one individual and left another injured, according to authorities.
Officials identified the victim as 40-year-old Brooke Boulanger of Crivitz. She was driving northbound on Caldron Falls Road near Fawn Lane shortly before 3 p.m. when she was unable to navigate a curve, causing the UTV to overturn. Both Boulanger and her passenger were ejected from the vehicle and became trapped underneath it.
An off-duty Marinette County Sheriff’s detective happened upon the crash and immediately began providing assistance. Sadly, Boulanger, who was not wearing a helmet or seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Preliminary reports indicate that excessive speed and alcohol may have contributed to the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, and the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office.
