MONTICELLO, MN — June 27, 2026 — A 53-year-old bicyclist from Elk River was injured Saturday after being struck by an SUV while crossing a marked crosswalk in Monticello, according to the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP).
The crash occurred around noon at the intersection of Highway 25 and the Interstate 94 exit, where Brenda Cloutier, 53, of Elk River, was among a group of cyclists crossing southbound through a marked crosswalk. An SUV, driven by a 48-year-old man, was making a right turn onto northbound Highway 25 when it struck Cloutier.
Cloutier was transported to Monticello Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV was uninjured.
The Minnesota State Patrol is actively investigating the circumstances of the crash. Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Minnesota State Patrol.
