TOLEDO, OH, (April 19, 2026) – A 73-year-old man was killed Sunday afternoon in a motorized bicycle crash in Toledo, according to police.
Authorities said Dan May was riding west on Nebraska Avenue at approximately 4:15 p.m. when he attempted to turn left onto Junction Road. During the maneuver, his bicycle was struck by an oncoming pickup truck.
First responders found May unresponsive at the scene, and he was pronounced dead shortly afterward. The 20-year-old driver of the pickup truck was not injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators.
The Toledo Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
