FATAL PEDESTRIAN CRASH INVESTIGATION

California leads the nation in pedestrian deaths on its roadways. In fact, the state’s pedestrian fatality rate runs nearly 25% higher than the national average.

A combination of factors can lead to pedestrians being struck, including speeding, driver error, distracted driving, and impaired driving. Candice Bond, an experienced pedestrian accident attorney, emphasized that in cases such as this, having a seasoned lawyer conduct an independent investigation is essential to protecting the rights of the victim’s family.

“Having the proper resources is extremely important to investigate a pedestrian accident case and prove negligence,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal and national analyst with Accident Injury News. “Road conditions, signage visibility, and road lighting are all possible contributing factors that are considered and must be thoroughly examined. These procedures are necessary for helping those who have lost a loved one receive the justice and monetary compensation that they deserve.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The surviving family members of Awoke Ayalew may be eligible to pursue a wrongful death claim. Relatives of wrongful death victims can seek compensation for loss of companionship, pain, suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic or catastrophic accident.

“We understand just what families are forced to go through, and having their rights protected is vital,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “A wrongful death lawyer stays informed on the progress of the official investigation and works to ensure a family’s best interests are protected. Relatives of wrongful death victims have the right to pursue damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic or catastrophic accident.”
