FATAL TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Each year, approximately 36,000 people lose their lives in motor vehicle incidents across the United States. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, leading causes include speeding, impairment, lane violations, failure to yield, and distracted driving.

Candice Bond, an experienced accident attorney, emphasized that in cases like this, conducting a timely independent investigation is crucial to preserve evidence and protect the rights of victims’ families.

“As attorneys, our role is to provide guidance and legal support to families who have lost loved ones in traffic incidents,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal and a national analyst for Accident Injury News. “We help safeguard their rights and ensure that statements made to authorities or insurers are not used against them.”

Bond added, “An attorney will carefully evaluate contributing factors and has the resources to consult expert witnesses, review driver histories, locate witnesses, and examine insurance coverage. Acting as an advocate, legal counsel can guide families through this difficult time while protecting their interests.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIMS

Pending the results of the investigation, the families of Ashley Hagood, Bryant Ballew, Brynleigh Pledger and Bentley Pledger may be eligible to pursue wrongful death claims for funeral expenses, loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.

“A wrongful death occurs when a negligent or wrongful act results in a person’s death,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “In cases involving unsafe driving behaviors such as speeding, distraction, or impairment, families often have the right to pursue a civil action against the responsible party.”
