EL PASO, TX, (May 11, 2026) – A 60-year-old man was tragically killed Monday night in a pedestrian crash involving two vehicles in central El Paso, according to police.
Authorities identified the victim as Armando Gonzalez.
Investigators said Gonzalez was struck at approximately 8:15 p.m. in the 6100 block of Alameda Avenue near Clark Drive by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 71-year-old El Paso resident.
Police said Gonzalez was then thrown to the ground and struck a second time by a Toyota Tacoma operated by an 18-year-old El Paso driver. The Tacoma also carried three passengers, identified as a 29-year-old woman, a 3-year-old girl, and a 60-year-old woman.
Gonzalez suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Special Traffic Investigation unit is continuing to investigate the fatal collision.
