Armando Corpus injures three in Madison high-speed wreck

MADISON, WI, (March 31, 2026) – Three people were hospitalized following a high-speed single-vehicle crash early Monday in Madison, according to police.

Authorities said the victims were passengers in a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Armando Corpus. The crash occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. on the 400 block of Midvale Boulevard when the vehicle reportedly struck a tree while traveling at a high rate of speed.

Emergency responders transported all three passengers to a nearby hospital with injuries. Officials noted that the victims were all around 19 years old or in their early 20s.

The crash remains under active investigation.

CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

Speeding endangers not only the life of the driver, but also their passengers and others on the road.

In 2024, speeding was a contributing factor in 29% of all traffic fatalities. Excessive speeding reduces the amount of time the driver has to react in dangerous situations, increases stopping distance, and weakens the effectiveness of road safety measures.

Regardless of the findings of any police investigation, Candice Bond, an experienced auto accident attorney, emphasized the importance of conducting an independent probe to preserve evidence and safeguard victims’ rights.

“In addition to the work of law enforcement, an attorney can revisit key witnesses, review surveillance footage, and obtain phone and texting records of the responsible party,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal and national analyst for Accident Injury News. “Serving as an advocate, an attorney can help guide a client through this difficult time while protecting their legal rights and best interests.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

The victims injured in this accident may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, noted that the stress and uncertainty following a serious injury can disrupt every aspect of life, including family, employment, finances, and overall well-being.

“While no amount of compensation can undo a serious injury, it is essential that victims understand their legal rights and the remedies available to them,” Formica added. “Those injured in this crash may be eligible to seek damages for medical expenses, ongoing care, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.”
