OAKLAND, CA, (March 25, 2026) — A 59-year-old man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident on March 25 in Oakland.
Police said Anthony Pinelli had just completed a graffiti cleanup job when he was struck by a speeding vehicle on 23rd Street near Broadway. The driver fled immediately after the crash.
Pinelli sustained severe injuries, including a traumatic brain injury, fractured skull, and damage that nearly severed his spine. He remains in the intensive care unit.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support Pinelli’s family with medical expenses during this difficult time.
Authorities later found the abandoned vehicle, which had been reported stolen. The investigation remains ongoing.
