CARSON, Calif. — A 24-year-old woman died as the result of a hit-and-run crash Saturday night on the 110 Freeway.
Angelina Davis was riding in a car with her boyfriend when a speeding vehicle collided with the rear of their car. The California Highway Patrol reported the collision occurred near Torrance Boulevard. The impact caused Davis and her boyfriend’s car to crash into a guardrail.
Davis was pronounced dead after the accident. Her boyfriend, whose identity was not disclosed, suffered serious injuries in the collision and was transported to a local hospital. His condition was not immediately released.
The driver who hit the couple fled the scene but was arrested by CHP officers nearby on suspicion of DUI.
