WALLBURG, NC, (April 07, 2026) – A 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed and his passenger seriously injured Tuesday night in a hit-and-run crash in Davidson County, authorities said.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Andralius Fazant Culbreth was riding north on National Highway near Teague Drive when a Chevrolet Silverado slowed while attempting a lane change. At approximately 9:25 p.m., the motorcycle struck the rear of the truck, ejecting both riders.
Culbreth was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 36-year-old woman from Lexington, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
The truck driver fled the scene. Investigators later identified a 21-year-old suspect through video footage and witness statements. He was arrested and charged with felony hit-and-run causing serious injury or death.
