WINTHROP, Minn. — A 53-year-old woman was injured Tuesday afternoon when her mobility scooter collided with an SUV on Highway 19.
Amy Elizabeth Swanson of Winthrop was driving an eastbound Baja Raptor Z near Main Street at around 2:40 p.m. when the accident occurred. Her scooter collided with an eastbound 2017 Ford Escape.
Emergency responders transported Swanson to New Ulm Medical Center for treatment. Medical personnel treated her for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the collision.
The SUV’s driver, a 33-year-old Janesville woman, was not injured in the crash. She remained at the scene and cooperated with investigating officers.
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the accident.
