WEST PALM BEACH, FL (February 28, 2026) — A 48-year-old Port St. Lucie man was critically injured Saturday in a violent crash at a busy Palm Beach County intersection, authorities said.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, a southbound vehicle failed to slow for a red light at Forest Hill Boulevard and Military Trail and struck the rear of another vehicle that was stopped in the center lane.
Deputies said the impact pushed both vehicles through the intersection. The driver of the striking vehicle fled east on foot before law enforcement arrived.
Amando Dinzey, who was driving the stationary vehicle, suffered critical injuries. A passenger in the same vehicle sustained serious injuries. Both were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation remains active as deputies work to identify and locate the fleeing driver.
