CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

The use of e-scooters has surged in recent years, with many riders relying on them for commuting and recreation.

During this period, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has reported a rise in e-scooter-related fatalities, with nearly 200 riders killed between 2017 and 2023. These crashes often occur when drivers are speeding, distracted, or misjudge the speed or distance of an e-scooter.

Candice Bond, an experienced e-scooter accident attorney, emphasized that in cases like this, a prompt and independent investigation is crucial to protect the rights of a victim’s family.

“Having the proper resources is critical when investigating a bicycle or scooter accident and establishing negligence,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal and a national analyst with Accident Injury News. “Road conditions, visibility of signage, and lighting must all be carefully evaluated. Accident reconstruction teams and even manufacturing experts are often utilized to determine what happened and to help protect the legal rights and best interests of a grieving family.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family members of Allen Brewer may be entitled to a wrongful death claim. Family members of wrongful death victims may seek damages for loss of companionship, pain, suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic or catastrophic accident.

“We understand the challenges families face after such a loss, and protecting their rights is essential,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “A wrongful death attorney will monitor the official investigation and help ensure that the family’s best interests are represented. Relatives may pursue damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic incident.”
