DEARBORN, MI, (July 03, 2026) – Three people lost their lives late Friday when an allegedly intoxicated driver struck a tractor-trailer on Interstate 94 in Dearborn.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:50 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 94 near Wyoming Avenue, when a passenger vehicle allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed struck the rear of a tractor-trailer.
Three passengers in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and the tractor-trailer operator were transported to a local hospital.
Alexandria Boynton, 24, of Detroit, was among those killed. Two other passengers — a 27-year-old man from Dearborn and a 24-year-old woman from Detroit — also died in the crash.
The driver, a 26-year-old man from Westland, has been charged with three counts of operating while intoxicated causing death and three counts of reckless driving causing death.
