GLENCOE, Ill. — A man lost his life in an early morning wrong-way crash involving four vehicles on the Edens Expressway July 6.
The collision happened around 2:52 a.m. on northbound Interstate 94 near Tower Road, Illinois State Police reported. Four vehicles were involved in the crash: a red Pontiac, black Hyundai, white Jeep and gray Tesla.
Alejandro Fernandez, 32, was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the collision, the Cook County Medical Examiner confirmed Monday. Emergency responders also transported a female passenger to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
State police continue investigating the circumstances of the wrong-way crash.
