COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday in a collision with a sedan in Colorado Springs.
Albert Castanon, a resident, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in the 2400 block of E. Bijou Street. The El Paso County Coroner’s Office identified the motorcyclist following the fatal accident.
According to Colorado Springs police, the sedan was heading south and exiting Platte Place when the collision occurred. Witnesses reported that Castanon was driving above the speed limit at the time of the crash.
The driver of the sedan was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Colorado Springs police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
