COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Police Department is searching for the suspect in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a woman early June 21.
The incident happened just after midnight near a major intersection following an evening concert in the area.
Abbie McIlyar, 40, was walking with friends and crossing the street when an SUV turned onto the road and struck her. EMS transported McIlyar to an area hospital with multiple broken bones and traumatic brain injuries, according to statements from friends.
Police said the vehicle continued at a high speed and left the scene without stopping. Investigators released a still image from a home security camera showing a suspect vehicle, possibly a siver Hyundai Santa Fe.
Officers urge anyone with information to contact the Columbus Police Department as the investigation continues.
