FRANKLIN, Tenn. — A vehicle fleeing from a traffic stop crashed into a pole, killing one passenger and injuring the driver, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported.
The accident happened early in the morning May 28 along Murfreesboro Road near S. Margin Street.
Troopers said a 20-year-old man driving a 2023 Toyota Camry was traveling at high speed before the crash. He lost control and struck a pole.
Kevin House, 42, was a passenger in the vehicle. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities charged the driver with vehicular homicide, evading arrest, and reckless driving. Officials have not released additional information.
