HALL COUNTY, Ga.— A Gainesville man suffered traumatic injuries on April 24 after being hit by an SUV while skateboarding to work.
The accident occurred just after 4 a.m. in the left southbound lane of McEver Road near Waterford Drive. Hall County investigators confirmed that the vehicle involved was a 2010 Chevrolet HHR.
Authorities identified Jose Roman, 21, as the skateboarder struck in the accident. Emergency responders transported him to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he is receiving treatment for multiple injuries.
Roman was reportedly traveling to his job at Walmart on Browns Bridge Road at the time of the accident.
The driver remained at the scene to cooperate.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
